TimeWalker Date Automatic

Introduced in 2014, reference 110338 is a 42mm TimeWalker Date Automatic from an earlier period of modern Montblanc watchmaking. Its silver-colored dial uses oversized blue Arabic numerals, while the case is defined by the open, skeletonized lugs that became one of the TimeWalker collection’s most recognizable details. Inside is the automatic Montblanc MB 24.09, visible through the sapphire caseback.

It is an unusual watch in retrospect. The large numerals, open lugs and bright dial give it an architectural quality that is very different from the more traditional watchmaking language Montblanc would increasingly emphasize around its Minerva heritage. That makes the 110338 interesting beyond its specifications: it captures a distinct period when Montblanc was still establishing what a modern Montblanc watch could look like.
